A little known fact about one of the reasons we opened Social House: we wanted to throw showers! The teeny shared cottage that was our previous business abode just wasn't big enough to host small parties, and we thought the area really needed a venue for those types of events. Since our opening last year, we've fulfilled that promise and have hosted quite a few cozy, beautiful, happy showers in our sun-filled space.
Stacy's was our first "official" shower here at the House. Hostess Amanda put together a fall-inspired theme, and we served cider sangria and autumn-ish bites to match, like farm salad with butternut squash, toasted pepitas and plum vinaigrette, and sweet onion tarts. Earth and Sugar served up pecan tartlettes and a signature simply sweet cake. Coco Prop Shop snapped the details.

Lauren and Hillary's bridal shower was a total blast! We loved the Hawaiian theme, complete with fresh fuchsia leis, gold pineapples (girls after our own hearts!), and fun tropical details, all captured by Coco Prop Shop. It was a total pleasure to host this crew!

Teresa's shower was held in the studio, and was absolutely picture-perfect. Chelsey Boatwright Photography documented every lovely moment, which you can see more of over on 100 Layer Cakelet. Flowers were by Simply Flowers, the food from Curbside Gourmet, the cake was by Earth and Sugar, chairs, linens and tabletop items from Atlas Party Rental, and the chalk art menu was created by Sparrow and Grain.

Heather's baby shower was simple, sweet and lovely. We put a summer spin on the dishes, with a fresh corn and tomato salad accompanied by summer veggie quiches and mimosas. Port + Palm Co. styled the floral garlands and crowns, adding a perfectly pretty seasonal touch.

Last - but certainly not least! - is the first shower we actually hosted here, before we'd even officially opened our doors. How appropriate that it was our own Desiree's, right? Chelsey was there to capture all the sweetness of the day, which you can see more of on Style Me Pretty. Making the day special were Julia Rohde Designs, Earth and Sugar, and Atlas Party Rental.
